Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s Fascinating Interview with Tucker Carlson
Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s interview with Tucker Carlson on August 14th provided shocking revelations about the CIA and other fascinating insights.
Tucker Carlson conducted a riveting interview of Robert F. (Bobby) Kennedy, Jr. on August 14, 2023 covering an impressive range of diverse and important topics. Whether one agrees or disagrees with Kennedy’s viewpoints, he clearly has an exceptional, in-depth understanding and knowledge of both current and historical events.
The discussion included an extraordinarily detailed and insightful discussion on the Russia-Ukraine war and the history leading to it. In the interview, Kennedy explained that the United States and the United Kingdom (and France) had made a commitment to Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990 that NATO would never advance into the former Soviet Union satellite countries of eastern Europe as consideration for the Soviet Union withdrawing its 400,000 troops from East Germany and allowing for the reunification of Germany.
However, Kennedy says that the neo-conservatives (“neocons”) in the US foreign policy establishment, led by former national security advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, broke this commitment during the Clinton presidency by orchestrating the inclusion of the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland into NATO in 1999. Kennedy explained that this broken commitment (along with the later inclusion of eleven more eastern European countries into NATO) was the genesis of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Aside from the discussion on the Russia-Ukraine war and other issues, the most interesting part of the interview was Kennedy’s revelation of a recent dinner conversation that he had with former CIA director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Kennedy said Pompeo expressed regret over his 15-month tenure as director of the CIA (January 2017 to April 2018). According to Kennedy, Pompeo told him, “When I was at the CIA, I did not do what I should have done to fix that agency.”
After that teaser, Kennedy claims that Pompeo told him, “The entire upper echelon of that agency is made up of individuals who do not believe in the democratic institutions of the United States of America.”
Pompeo’s comment, if true, will only reinforce the American public’s growing belief in the existence of a US Government “deep state” with little or no transparency and accountability.
The CIA as a topic of discussion is deeply personal for Bobby Kennedy, Jr. as he believes the agency was responsible for the assassination of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy. He believes that the CIA wanted his uncle killed as retaliation for withholding air support for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba orchestrated by the CIA in April 1961 – just three months into his presidency.
Bobby Kennedy, Jr. said that his uncle was so infuriated with the CIA’s insistence on invading Cuba, its subsequent bungling of the invasion,
and its heavy-handed tactics in general, that he quotes his uncle as saying, “I want to take the CIA, shatter it into a thousand pieces, and scattered it to the winds.”
Seven months after the Bay of Pigs fiasco, President Kennedy fired then-CIA director Allen Dulles in November 1961. The firing of Dulles was another possible reason for a CIA revenge killing of President Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy, Jr. also says that the CIA was opposed to his uncle’s desire for a better, less hostile, more cooperative relationship with the Soviet Union as he was genuinely fearful of a potential nuclear war with the Soviets.
Bobby Kennedy, Jr. and Tucker Carlson also discussed the federal law enacted in 1992, the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, that required the release of all government documents relating to President Kennedy’s assassination by no later than October 26, 2017. However, neither former President Donald Trump nor current President Joe Biden have released all of the documents as required by law. Bobby Kennedy, Jr. believes that the continued and unexplained resistance to releasing all remaining documents is due to the institutional desire to protect the CIA and prevent revelations of its involvement in the assassination. Former President Trump has indicated that he will release all remaining documents pertaining to President Kennedy’s assassination should he be reelected in 2024.
